Dr. John Merritt, M.D.

Dr. John Merritt has a spinal cord injury and brain injury medicine practice. and is a Professor of Medicine & Neurology at the University of South Florida School of Medicine. For the last 19 years he has been affiliated with Messianic Jewish Synagogues, and the Hebrew Roots movement, and is a member of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America. In the turbulent 1990s, he became a lay leader in advocating scholarly dialog among Sabbath observers. He co-founded the Friends of the Sabbath, and its cross-culture, non-denominational conferences. I currently advocate dialogue among the various Messianic communities. John currently serves on the Board of Directors of BSA.
